Plain rules for a testnet beta.
Last updated November 2, 2026. These terms cover the Ecrin Wallet browser extension, the website and app at ecrinprotocol.app, and the Ecrin alerts. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
What Ecrin is, today
- A testnet beta. Ecrin runs on public test networks (Solana Devnet, Ethereum Sepolia and other testnets) with test coins that have no value. Don't send real funds to it.
- Not audited yet. No independent firm has reviewed the code. Mainnet comes only after an audit, with deposit caps at first.
- Open source and free. The code is public on GitHub. Ecrin charges no fee; networks charge their own small fees.
- A personal project. Ecrin is not a bank, a broker, an exchange or a custodian, and it is not regulated as one.
Your keys, your responsibility
- Self-custody. Ecrin never holds your keys or your money. Your recovery phrase is encrypted on your own computer.
- Nobody can recover it. If you lose your recovery phrase and your password, Ecrin can't get your wallet back. Write the phrase on paper and keep it safe.
- Delays are real. Money in your Safe waits the delay you chose before it can leave, and the rules are enforced by code on the blockchain. Nobody, including Ecrin, can shorten a delay or rush a withdrawal for you.
- Check what you sign. Transactions on a blockchain can't be undone. Check every address and amount before you confirm.
Risks
- Software can have bugs, including in the vault program and contracts. During the beta they can be upgraded or redeployed, and test balances can be reset.
- Blockchains, price services and alert services can be slow, wrong or unavailable. Prices shown are estimates.
- Ecrin is a tool, not financial, legal or tax advice, and not treatment. If gambling is hurting you, talk to someone you trust or a local helpline.
Fair use
Don't use Ecrin for anything illegal where you live, to harm other people, or to attack the service (for example by flooding it with requests). Found a security flaw? Please report it privately first, as described on the security page.
No warranty
Ecrin is provided "as is", without any warranty, during a public test. As far as the law allows, the people who make Ecrin aren't liable for any loss that comes from using it, including lost test coins, lost keys, mistakes in transactions, or the service being unavailable. Nothing here limits rights you have under laws that can't be waived.
Changes
These terms will change, at the latest before mainnet. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be announced on the website.
